| The area around Bates Lake RV Park offers plenty of beautiful open spaces for relaxation. Nearby Bates Lake is a terrific place to go fishing -- it's less than a mile from our campground and the fishing there is famous in our area! The lake also has a boat launch for those who bring their own power boat, canoe, rowboat, or kayak. This is a great place for bird watching, swimming, or just settling back with a good book. |

| Bates Lake RV Park is just thirty-five miles from the attractions of Mobile and the Alabama Gulf Coast. You can head to Mobile Bay to tour the USS Alabama memorial park with its submarine, flight simulator, warships, and fighter planes. Take a tour of historic Fort Conde, see the luxurious Bellingrath Gardens and Home, or shop for bargains at Flea Market Mobile, where you'll find a collection of great deals, unique items, and fun-loving folks. |
| History buffs can explore the Museum of Mobile or see the well-preserved Conde-Charlotte Museum House. And of course our park is near major manufacturers like the ThyssenKrupp Steel Mill, the Barry Steam Plant (Alabama Power), and Dupont Manufacturing. For a longer day trip, head all the way to the golden sands of Gulf Shores for a day on the ocean. This is a great place to take the kids to enjoy water sports, great shopping and dining, and the famous Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo. |
